Popular beach with the Semaphore Waterslide Complex, Semaphore Carousel and Semaphore Steam Train rides (warmer months) on the foreshore.
Semaphore Waterslide Complex - Besides the ever-popular waterslides there is a ferris wheel, rides, laughing clowns and mini golf course.
Semaphore Carousel - The Semaphore Carousel celebrated its 80th year as a resident of the the Semaphore Foreshore in 2018. Now managed by the Rotary Club of Henley Beach. Thought to be the largest operating carousel in Australia with 40 handcrafted wooden horses.
Semaphore Steam Train - The National Railway Museum operates the heritage steam train rides which run a 2km route along the coast during the warmer months.
Popular events are held regularly here, including the Summer Carnival, Kite Festival and Greek Festival.
The jetty is very popular with all ages who want to take a nice stroll. You will also find a handy kiosk for the customary fish and chips by the sea as well as the usual other food fare - donuts, wedges, hot chips, ice-creams and hot and cold drinks.
Toilets are close-by, as is plenty of grassed areas and 2 playgrounds
There is plenty of free parking but in the busier seasons and event periods, parking can be limited.
Put the kids' bikes or scooters in the boot of the car and take a nice walk/ride along the cycle/pedestrian path to Noonies which is a beach kiosk located at Semaphore South. Stop off for a play at the playground there and then ride back to the foreshore at Semaphore.
